Bagnall Ski Program Information
The Bagnall Ski Program is a six-week program offered to students in grades 4, 5, and 6.If you have further questions please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Registration: Registration is in mid October. No Late Registrations.
Start Date: Ski program starts the first week in January, and consists of 6 consecutive weekly session or until 6 sessions have been completed. Students will be dismissed at the end of the school day and bused to Ski Bradford. All children are required to take the bus from Bagnall to Bradford. If your child is going to arrive late at Bradford or is absent from school please inform ski coordinator(s) so we are not looking for them in the café on ski day.
Dismissal: You will be responsible for the pick up of your child at Ski Bradford at 6:00pm. Please plan to arrive at lodge by 5:45 as traffic is heavy on Friday night and we would like all children dismissed by 6:00pm. In order for each child to be accounted for, you will be required to sign your child out and return their ticket to the lodge monitor.
Equipment Drop Off: Ski equipment must be brought to school by an adult. It is not allowed on the daily bus. It will be stored for the day at the school in the cafeteria. Please label all equipment with the child’s name.
Food & Drink: Food can be purchased at the snack bar in the ski lodge or brought from home. It’s a long time from school lunch until they get home, so plan accordingly.
Dress: Please make sure that children are appropriately dressed and equipped for the weather conditions of the day.
First Time Skiers/boarders: We strongly recommend that parents of first time skiers or boarders make every effort to attend at least the first session with their child to assist and chaperone them. Ski & board lessons last approx. 1 hour. The rest of the time the students are skiing on their own. The student/monitor ratio is 20:1. In addition, we urge you to bring your child to Ski Bradford before the start of the program to help acclimate him/her. There will be literally hundreds of people there on our scheduled program day. It would be beneficial to go at a less hectic time to help him/her locate the rental shop, lesson area, lodge area, restrooms, and first aid station. Bagnall tries to reserve the lodge tables in the far left corner next to the windows facing the hill. There will be a monitor stationed there at all times if your child needs assistance.
Cancellation: All decisions regarding cancellation of the program will be made by mutual agreement between Ski Bradford and Bagnall coordinators no later than 11:00am. Every effort will be made to cancel with one day advance notice if possible. Program Cancellation for the day will be communicated via E-Mail only. If school is cancelled or dismissed early due to inclement weather the ski program will automatically be cancelled, no email will be sent.
Safety & Behavior: The safety of your skiers & boarders is our highest priority. Please discuss safe and appropriate behavior with your child. This is an after school activity and we are representing Bagnall School. Discipline problems will result in expulsion from the program and fees will be forfeited.
